Knightmare (AKA Raging Knightmare) was built by Team Knightmare for Robot Wars series 7. In January 2005 we purchased Knightmare from them as they were retiring from the sport, we had known the team for several years as they lived locally to us. 

Knightmare was originally seen in RW series 4 where it was defeated by Scutters Revenge, it then made the Annihilator final in RW Extreme. In series 6 in made the heat final again, only this time being defeated by the reigning champion Razer. The robot came back again in series 7 and this time made it to the Semi-Finals, throwing Spawn of Scutter out of the arena in the heat final but then being defeated by the reigning champion Tornado. 

Knightmare is driven by 2 4QD NCC70s, powering 2 Bosch 750Watt motors. The chassis is made from 20mm box section, with aluminum checker plate armour. The flipper is powered by a 63mm bore ram, controlled by 2 high pressure valves. 

We are currently planning on upgrading the armour and pneumatic system. The robots appearance wont change, as its a well known robot amongst the fans.
